Mari Targo

Mari Targo (1986) has finished Tallinn Music High school (Niina Murdvee’s violin class). Since 2005 studies she in Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre by prof Mare Teearu. 2008 won Mari I prize in Pärnu Violin Competition (and Eino Tamberg special prize). As soloist has she performed with Pärnu City Orchestra, Tallinn Chamber Orchestra and Haapsalu Festival Orchestra. As chamber musician was Mari member of EMTA Ensemble of New Music. Certainly got Mari good musical impulses by studying in Poland, Poznan (2007/08) and also playing in several orchestras and projects in Estonia (Estonian National Opera Orchestra, Tallinn Chamber Orchestra, Järvi Summer Academy Orchestra) or abroad (EUYO, BYP). Mari has taken part of several master classes (in Austria, Semmering, in Estonia Tallinn, Haapsalu and Leigo). Last season took Mari part of new music course in Austria, Graz (Impuls Akademie) and European Union Baroque Orchestra (EUBO) courses in Luxemburg.
