Järvi’s


Järvi`s, Estonia’s family of music, consists 16 Järvi’s, ages 17-74, belonging to the prodigious family headed by Estonian-born conductor Neeme Järvi (one thinks of the Bach family for comparison)

In addition to Neeme are his sons Paavo and Kristjan, both conductors, 48 and 39; daughter Maarika, 47 (flute); Tatiana Berman, 31 (violin); Kristjan’s wife Hayley, 29 (flute and piccolo); Neeme’s nephew Teet, 53 (cello, son of Neeme’s late brother Vallo, also a conductor), his wife Mari, 52 (piano) and Teet and Mari’s five children: Madis, 23 (viola), Marius, 29 (cello), Martin, 17 (violin), Mihkel, 26 (piano) and Miina, 28 (violin) and Neeme´s nephew Andrus, 58 (viola) and his son Markus (singer) and daughter Margarete (violin)
