String masterclasses will take place July 30.juuli to August 5 in Pärnu and  August 5 to 7 in Leigo and Otepää. In the same time also will be  Neeme and Paavo Järvi international masterclasses for conductors (25.07-07.08) and International Järvi Summer Festival (28.07-04.08)

Symphony orchestra (all participating strings):

Program:  „Strauss in St.Petersboug“ (waltzes, polkas, marches), Glinka Valse fantaisie, Tchaikovsky Variations on a Rococo Theme, Beethoven Symphony no.7 in  Pärnu Concert Hall on Aug 4 and in Leigol on Aug 6, conductor Neeme Järvi,  this program will be rehearsed in rehearslas by participants of Järvi masterclasses, general rehearsals and concerts will be conducted by Neeme Järvi

 

Chamber Orchestra (selected students of music academy), rehearsals since July 29:

Participants of Järvi masterclasses will rehearse to orchestra, concert will be in Pärnu Concert Hall on Aug 2, in program: Tüür Show (Action-Passion-Illusion), Bloch Concertino for flute, viola and strings (soloists Maarika Järvi and Mikhail Zemtsov), Bach Concerto for 2 violins D-minor (soloists Ivry Gitlis e.a.), Vivaldi Concerto for 4 violin e.a., conductors Paavo Järvi and participants of Järvi masterclasses

Ivry Gitlis (violin) – world-famous legendary violinist (France/ Israel)

Ulrike Danhofer (violin) – professor of  Vienna Music University  (Austria)

Mikhail Zemtsov (viola) – Principal Violist of Den Hague Residentie Orchestra and professor of Utrecht Conservatory (Holland)

Gareth Lubbe (viola) – solo-viola of Leipzig Gewandhaus-orchestra (Germany)

Oskari Hannula (double bass) – Keski-Pohjanmaa Chamber Orchestra principal double bass (Finland)

Tõnu Reimann (violin) –  professor of Estonian Academy of  Music, chairman of pedagogical instritute

Arvo Leibur (violin) – Concertmaster of Estonian National Symphony Orchestra, Assistant Professor of Estonian Academy of Music

Elar Kuiv (violin) – Concertmaster of Estonian National Symphony Orchestra and Keski-Pohjanmaa Chamber Orchestra

Orchestral repertory will be sent in June for rehearsing.

In June and July will be 2 preparing orchestral rehearsals in Tallinn, more information about that will be sent later.

Masterclasses will begin in the morning of July 30 at 10.00 in Pärnu Concert Hall, on Aug 5 will be moved to  Leigo (organized bus transport) and in the morning of Aug 7 the bus will bring the participants from Leigo to Tallinn. Players of chamber orchestra will arrive in Pärnu on July 29.

 

Accommodation will be for younger participants in Muuli Hostel in Pärnu and for others in Estonia Spa Hotel, Aug 5 to 7 will be accommodation for all in Leigo Touristic Farm, meals will be 3 times in a day, orchestral rehearsals will be in Pärnu Concert Hall and on last day of masterclasses in Leigo,  instrument lessons and practicing in  Pärnu Music School.

PARTICIPATION FEE IS  50 EUR (including all accommodation, meals, lessons, concerts of festival), which should be paid by bank transfer for 20 June 2011: account no 10052003620001 SEB, account holder ÜENSO MTÜ
